The Grassroots Institute, alongside its partners and collaborators, is holding a Summer Field School and Workshop on Mountain Ecosystems and Resource Management (FSc MER 2020) in July in Ukraine’s Carpathian Mountains. Future leaders – including researchers, students, practitioners and scholars – may apply to this 10-day international programme.

Thirty to forty participants will be selected to build knowledge on contemporary topics relevant to the world’s mountain regions, from the Himalayas to the Rockies. The training will examine mountain ecosystems in the contexts of human development and natural resources. The programme takes an intersectional approach to natural resource management, considering social, political, economic, cultural and gender dimensions.
