the webinar will open the space to discuss how to scale-up finance for biodiversity. To this end, it will showcase practical examples of successful initiatives towards budget alignment for integrated resource management, as role model for truly green recovery plans mobilizing stakeholders at all levels, and highlight recent efforts to align climate finance with biodiversity funding needs.

The online session will opened by the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity and later be divided in two sequences, followed each by questions and answers by participants. The first part will introduce a state-of-the-art as to recent reports and tools on resources mobilization, and provide an overview of enablers for catalysing aligned ambitions and implementation at various levels.

In the second sequence, the panellists will share experiences on good practices and challenges, and provide insight on enablers for transformative change.

It will end with a collective discussion among participants exploring the areas to be delved into further discussions. Closing remarks on the lessons learned from these exchanges for the next steps of the future Global Biodiversity Framework will be delivered and the Post 2020 Open-ended working group co-chair.

Exchanges will mainly take place in English, simultaneous interpretation will be available in English, French, and Spanish.
